Project Description
A river moves but always follows a path. It cuts through rocks not with its power but with persistence.
I have always been fascinated with painting a river, even when it was a struggle doing so. No matter how many rivers I paint, creating a perception of the water flowing towards the viewer has always been a thrill. You can gently make the river meander or make it a rapid that pushes past those hurdles and cuts through the rocks with this relentless persistence. That might have sounded like God complex, but I am sure you understand what I mean.
Fun Facts about rivers:
The longest river in the world, Nile could go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and almost return. It is 6,650 Km long, while the distance between these opposite ends of India is 3,530 Km only.
