Bhaskar N –  Self-Taught Painter, Writer & creator of BhaskART,Chennai

Who is Bhaskar N?

Bhaskar N is a Chennai-based self taught hobby painter. I work as a Chief Operating Officer and started painting as an adult with no prior training. What began as a single weekend experiment grew into BhaskART — a blog and creative practice built on one belief: it is never too late to start.

Why BhaskART exists

BhaskART is not about producing masterpieces. Some paintings here are faithful copies of tutorials by professional artists. Some are entirely original. The goal is neither. I paint and writes to improve — one canvas, one blog post at a time.

The blogs and poetry on this site offer a personal perspective on wide-ranging subjects. Not to convince, but to understand. Once the why was clear — the what stopped mattering.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)

What does BhaskART mean?
BhaskART combines Bhaskar’s name with ART — short for “A Random Thought,” the philosophy behind every painting and blog post on this site.

Is Bhaskar N a professional artist?
No. Bhaskar N is a self-taught hobby painter based in Chennai, India. I paint on weekends and write to explore ideas — not to pursue a professional art career.

When did Bhaskar start painting?
I started painting as an adult, with no prior training, no art school background, and no plan. The practice grew gradually from a random weekend thought into a regular creative discipline.

About the BhaskART Logo

never too late to start

  • The paintbrush & the nib of the pen represent my preferred tools of expression of ART, A Random Thought.
  • Free strokes represent the simplicity of my philosophy about art in specific and life in general.
  • The palette completes the picture to represent my initials nb.
  • Colours in the palette represent freedom we have to do what we want with our blank canvas, called life.

Before you go

If you have read this far, thank you. That means something.

BhaskART is not a finished product. It is a work in progress. Like every painting on this site and every post in the blog. There will be more paintings, more thoughts, more attempts at getting it right.

The hope is simple: that this inspires you to pick up a long-forgotten hobby, or start a new one entirely.

It is never too late to start.

The canvas does not care about your resume.
