Contemplation

I was fascinated with the deep contemplating gaze and that shiny eye of the Horse. Even though, It was hard to read into, yet conveyed many emotions. And, here is a powerful beast that could trot, canter or gallop but chose to pause and reflect upon something.

From the moment I watched this painting tutorial by a world-class artist, I decided to paint this Horse. Even if the artist used oil paints, I gave this a go with acrylics. Although acrylic paint’s quick-drying properties helped me complete the painting over a weekend, blending was challenging.
