This painting is my first attempt at abstract art. I used a reference painting to do this. The techniques are very unlike what I do. Also, this is the first painting I did, with a palette knife. But it is one of those experiments that worked better than I had hoped for.
An abstract art looks easy and simple once it is on canvas but don’t be fooled by the looks. It takes a lot of creativity and technique to execute it right. The knowledge and use of colors and contrast plays a key role. I am more a reference photo artist, so a big salute to those creative ones out there.
Once we hung it on the wall in our drawing-room, I realised the magic of abstract art.
